First - you have to thank Red Granite for delivering such an outstanding male
Second - you have to thank Kitt Hollister for selling you her herd. And including this outstanding male.
And if I could reduce the lack of hesitation in making that purchase - I could in fact reduce it to this one male.
I will let Kitt explain because she has a knack for it.

From Kitt:
"The best way to introduce this male is using the facts. First: YES, he is a true Harlequin. His great grandsire, Black Epic, is one of the most prolific Harlequin Appaloosa producers out there. His spots are subtle as his coloring is very light, a most stunning lavender rose grey. They are there, however, and there is no question that his extraordinary coloration is the result of the Harlequin Appaloosa gene.
Next, there is the not small matter of his biopsy. At 127.2 follicles/square mm density, Pintus is the densest alpaca yet biopsied by Ian Watt in the USA, and I have not yet heard of a denser alpaca out there. With a primary SD of 2.5, secondary SD of 2.2, and fiber population differential of 3.5, he is also one of the most uniform. To quote Ian Watt directly, "overall this is the best alpaca I have tested in the US."
So, there's that.
Is he fine? Well, of course he's fine. His yearling histogram, at 16.0 AFD and 3.1 SD, is fine. His two year old histogram, at 17.3 AFD and still a 3.1 SD, is fine. His 2019 AFD, calculated off of his biopsy, is 16.9. That's fine. So, he's fine, and he's staying fine, which is to be expected. Why? Well, his sire, CCNF Legionnaire, has a 6 y/o AFD of 17.3 with an SD of 3.5, and his dam's 5 y/o histogram was 20.5 with an SD of 3.5 -- impressive for any color, but stunning for a TRUE BLACK.
So, here we go: unbelievably dense, uniform, and fine. As the pictures show, this fleece is, as expected, also quite beautiful -- bright bright bright, with a high-frequency crimp that stamps it as truly elite. He also has a decent staple.
Is he good looking? Well, duh. He's a grandson of Snowmass Matrix Majesty. Check out that head shot! The coverage is ALL there, and his substance of bone is excellent."
Alas. 6 Man of Mystery kids hit the ground within 5 days of arrival last Sept. 2021. One was actually delivered the morning of transport which was super fun. LOL
All are outstanding, 4 are especially noteworthy. Two are harlequins. One is an absolute Game Changer. So we named him.. Game Changer. Nifty.
I now have kids that are juvies, 1+ and 2+; histograms for these guys are incredible. Minuit Noir has a 16 micron fleece and a 2.9 SD. She is a true black. She will be 3 this year. Game Changer came is an exciting 17.9 micron and a 3.6 SD; big strapping boy with brightness and presence galore. He is up this season. You will be hearing more. And it goes on. So far, he has thrown pattern 80+% of the time. More to come.
Be on the lookout. This guy is restricted but his kids are not... Much much more to come.

Conformationally correct.
Great coverage.
Easy temperament.
Stunning daughter of her mama Silver Surfer (who I am keeping and is also bred to Shift)
This female came to me from Kitt Hollister's herd.
She walked off the trailer in Sept. 2021 bred to... Man of Mystery. Odd combo. That pairing gave me a son. His name is Confucius. He is a tux. Im keeping him until further notice. A very nice boy.

Her sire is AML Principios Grand Torino. a Bay black male with a fan base out there that is filled with overflowing enthusiasm. Torino has a sire line which originates with legacy so I can see where that might have come from.
I am making Heidi available. Shift is a perfect compliment to her frame, her fleece and just, well everything.
I would expect great things here. I would also expect that Heidi will contribute famously to a grey herd. Her genetics are complimentary to all the big males out there. Diversity in grey is a really good thing.
And dont you just love her name? :)
I have not yet received results on her fiber from 2022 but its in process. I would expect those results to be very respectable.
Easy mother. Easy birther. Nothing but good things to say
